WHY WORSHIP?
Mark 12:1 says, "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship."
Singing songs of praise is an important aspect of worship. It is as important as praying because we get in a state of spiritual intimacy with God. We praise Him for who He is, the Alpha and the Omega, creator of all things.
We connect with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and bring our hearts closer to Him.
Worship is an essential part of our Sunday service as we come in the presence of God.
WORSHIP WITH OUR HEART & SOUL
Our SCBC Worship & Praise Team is a group of vocalists, professional musicians, and sound technicians whose passion is to lead us into the presence of God through live sound. Along with the SCBC Choir, they bring the sound of heaven to our hearts and souls to get our spirits ready as we connect with our Lord. Our music is tailored to match our service schedule with different styles of music such as classical, contemporary, jazz and gospel.
Worship doesn't just end on Sundays, we have several music events throughout the year open to everyone:
